GPS Air Navigation

Air navigation is the process of locating, managing and guiding aircraft through airways. Aerial guidance systems are a combination of equipment and software that can sense or determine the location of an aircraft and automatically adjust or define the required adjustments to the motion of the aircraft using the position location information (such as provided from a GPS or INS) and desired destination information.

Precise air navigation may be used to assist in aerial refueling. Aerial refueling is the process of connecting a hose between aircraft to transfer fuel from one to the other.
